Form of workAn exciting opportunity to lead BMCC’s First Nations Program including a Connecting to Country Officer and Communication and Engagement Officer. This position will develop and implement programs and strategies to improve outcomes for Traditional Custodians and the management of Ngurra (Country) in the Blue Mountains, as well as manage consultation and engagement with TCs and First Nations peoples across a broad range of Council programs, and implement Council’s undertaking, declared in its Statement of Recognition and Commitment, to acknowledge past injustices and disadvantage to First Nations people caused by colonisation, and to redress these through positive action, truth telling and reconciliation.
Managerial level AATSI identified position requiring experience leading and influencing organisations and community to bring about change. Proven experience working collaboratively in partnership with Traditional Custodians, First Nation Peoples, their organisations, Government and community and leading and managing teams and influencing others in a cross organisational and external setting is essential.
A lease vehicle may be available to the position holder.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $118,016 gross per annum
+ 11% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
