As the Program Leader Hazardous Material, you will be responsible for:
• Response, planning and removal of Hazardous Materials (Including Asbestos).
• Response, planning and removal of Illegally Dumped Materials.
• Manage all tasks associated with Council Class B Asbestos Removal License.
• Manage projects associated with Hazardous Materials.
• Inspection and maintenance of Hazardous Materials found in buildings and structures.
• Education and training of staff and members of the public (if required and when appropriate) in relation to the management of Hazardous Materials.
• The management of Council’s effluent removal service.
You will have:
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or considerable experience in a similar role.
• Asbestos Class B licensed supervisor.
• Experience in preparing RFQs and Tenders.
• Demonstrated experience leading skilled teams.
• Demonstrated project management and work planning skills.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
• Knowledge and commitment to WHS requirements in particular in relation to the handling of Hazardous Materials.
A leaseback vehicle is available with this position.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $107,288 gross per annum
+ 11% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
