As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for helping the business deliver a key strategic and transformational program associated with improving the overall Qantas baggage customer experience. You will ensure that the program is managed to the agreed objectives, within budget and to planned timelines. You will take responsibility to manage the planning, governance and delivery of tech and operational-related baggage projects and initiatives. With your project management experience, you will work in a matrix fashion with others and lead regular and on-going forums to deliver and support the implementation of this program of work. This role will engage with stakeholders from across the Qantas business, and also removing any blockers that are prohibiting the relevant teams from meeting key milestones, and fully understand and address any key risks and issues.

To be successful you will possess:

  • 5+ years' experience in a Program/ Project Management
  • Business or related tertiary qualification or experience equivalent
  • Strong background in project delivery/implementation methodologies, risk management and principles of change
  • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal skills at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects or initiatives across multiple areas or business units
  • Ability to run forums with more senior management membership/participation
  • Proven and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to proposed methodologies and tools
  • Strong commitment to business improvement and ability to drive change and make things happen
  • Have experience working on Airports, Airline, Logistics and/or Transport-related technology and its application in an operational and commercial environment
