About the Role
In this role, you will work alongside a Construction Manager to deliver a series of facilities upgrade projects under the Facilities & Infrastructure Program, focusing primarily on the Organisational Change and workforce engagement aspect of the projects.
The Facilities & Infrastructure program seeks to address end of life assets and improve the working environment, including upgrading facilities, towers, fire stations, and potentially the removal of asbestos or chemicals on contaminated sites. Your responsibility is to understand the workforce that sit within each facility, understand the change impact to them, and ultimately ensure that the changes to these facilities will have a positive impact to the workforce. Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Asses at the program/project scope, and ensure that the outcomes are going to be safe and inclusive
- Be the face of change for these physical locations
- Understand the needs of each site-specific workforce, and advise the program team on what changes need to be made in order to ensure workforce engagement improves as a result of each facility upgrade
- Objectively measure and quantify this success (benefits realisation is essential)
- Coordinate, direct, collaborate with and oversee the Construction Manager, Change Manager, Communications Manager and project teams, to ensure they are all aligned and delivering against the core goal of the program which is improving workforce satisfaction and engagement
Requirements
- 8 + years' experience in program management
- A background in construction or significant experience managing construction, Capital Works, and/or building facilities upgrade projects is essential
- Proven experience/expertise in Organisational Change and/or workforce engagement is essential
- Previous experience managing and measuring employee engagement in relation to building/facilities projects is highly desirable
- Previous exposure to the MSP Programme Management methodology or experience using a range of project/program management methodologies
- Experience delivering programs with a focus on benefits realisation is highly desirable
- Must be able to travel interstate occasionally as needed
Terms
- 2 year initial fixed-term contract with potential to extend
- Sydney based with flexible working arrangements (must be able to go into CBD office as needed)
- Paying up to approx. $210K package inclusive of super (commensurate with skills and experience)
- Starting ASAP (our client can wait for the right candidate to give notice to their current employer)
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident and eligible for security clearance
