Your OpportunityThe Psychosocial Support Program (PSP) is a vital program in the community in partnership with the Healthy North Coast PHN supporting people living with mental illness.Covering the Northern Rivers region and based in Lismore, as our
Program Manager you'll be tasked with ensuring that our services not only meet but exceed expectations. You will form an integral part of the Leadership Team with 4 direct reports overseeing a team of more than 12 dedicated staff, including providing necessary line management or administrative supervision, as well as practice and clinical supervision.Under the guidance of an Area Manager, you'll drive the performance of our services and meticulously report on outcomes. Building and maintaining strong effective relationships with key stakeholders in the local community will also be a crucial aspect of your role.
Your Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain an effective and skilled team by establishing role clarity at direct report level ensuring that performance expectations, development and accountabilities are clearly set and reviewed regularly.
- Conduct staff performance discussions when required including setting priorities and outcomes, planning, and organising work and monitoring workflows, and assist in conflict resolution.
- Action and accountability driven to achieve results in line with set timeframes.
- Influence operational activities by contributing to the on-going service development and improvement via strategic and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and uphold positive, effective working relationships with key stakeholders within the community.
- Understand and support responses to community identified requirements.
Requirements for SuccessWith a significant background in leadership in the Community Services and/or Mental Health sectors, you will be confident in your values-based leadership and workforce planning. Other requirements include:
- Relevant degree with management experience or associate diploma with substantial management experience is required.
- Experience working with teams over multiple offices and different geographic regions.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity while maintaining a calm demeanour and conveying confidence across the teams.
- Accomplished in budget and financial management.
- Effective communication and active listening skills, demonstrating the ability to present information, decisions, and reasons confidently, clearly, and concisely selecting the appropriate medium.
- Possess talent for identifying creative and innovative solutions for individual community need.
- A personal alignment with the values of Mission Australia
- Experience working with people with complex issues and needs.
- Personal development and self-awareness including mastery with own wellness and confidence in own resilience.
- Must have full driver licence with no restrictions.
