  • Remuneration Level 8: Commencing from $123,044 + 17% superannuation and leave loading
  • Employment Type: Continuing Full Time
  • Location: Kensington, NSW (Hybrid Flexible Working available with 3 days a week on campus)

Why this role matters:

Working with our Indigenous Faculty, AGSM offers a range of Indigenous Leadership Programs for Indigenous leaders and their organisations. We now have over 800 Indigenous alumni who have been participants on our programs.

As the Programs Manager – Indigenous Leadership Program (ILP) you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful planning and delivery of our suite of Indigenous Programs. As the face of our Indigenous Programs, you will engage with and proactively support participants and partner organisations throughout their learning journey and assist where required to guide and support participants as they progress.

Supported by our Indigenous Leaders Program Team you will work with a wealth of stakeholders fostering collaboration, communication, cultural safety for our participants and culturally appropriate learning. This role is key to ensuring that the programs deliver on learning and career outcomes for our participants.

The Programs Manager ILP reports to the Head of Enterprise Relationships and has no direct reports.

This position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants only. In this role you will:

  • Contribute to the development of the AGSM suite of Indigenous Programs by cultivating long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key strategic clients and partners to promote and implement AGSM’s expertise in designing and developing programs to develop leadership capabilities.
  • Be a key contributor to the AGSM’s Indigenous Programs by attending events, networking, updating websites and collateral, developing case studies and coordinating the New Tracks conference held annually, and the AGSM Indigenous Faculty Day.
  • Collaborate with the AGSM marketing team to develop and organise appropriate events and webinars.
  • Provide expert advice and insight to clients and stakeholders in relation to AGSM Indigenous Leadership Programs, ensuring client satisfaction and an impactful participant experience.
  • Contribute to the learning and pilot program design by bringing in the participant perspective to ensure a compelling, seamless, intuitive, and engaging learning experience across all learning platforms and modalities.

Skills and Experience:

This is an Indigenous identified position, and applicants must be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person. Evidencing Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity will be required.

  • Relevant tertiary level qualification or equivalent, with client relationship management experience, preferably in an education setting.
  • Experience, or aptitude to manage major programs of work with an ability to negotiate and influence desirable outcomes.
  • Experience providing effective customer service and support to stakeholders at all levels, preferably in an adult learning context.
  • High-level interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with a wide stakeholder base and communicate with external clients, academics, practitioners and consultants.
