As the Program Manager (Hunter) you will be responsible for leading and supporting Team Leaders and Therapeutic Support Workers in delivering quality support services to children, young people, and their families at Big Brown House.
As the Program Manager, you will:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and review of policy, procedures, and practices.
- Strategic planning and program review, growth development is a key duty of the role.
- Provide leadership and on-going support and supervision for direct reports.
- Ensure incidents and complaints are managed proactively.
- Support organisational culture initiatives and Strategic Workforce Plan deliverables.
- Maintain and develop strong working relationships with stakeholders and the wider community.
- Identify opportunities, forecast growth/development requirements, and ensure program strategy is followed through to delivery.
About you:
- Extensive experience working in the Out of Home Care sector.
- Highly developed understanding of child protection issues, the impact of trauma and its effects on child behaviour and development.
- Relevant industry training e.g., Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Self-Harm/ Suicide Behaviour Training, Trauma training, Frontline Management etc.
- Demonstrated experience supervising, leading, and supporting a team.
- Demonstrated budgeting and financial management capability.
- Proven ability to work autonomously while also collaborating positively within a team environment.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, participants/ clients, and their families.
Essential Criteria
- Diploma or degree level qualification in relevant field or previous experience in the Disability or Community Services sector
- Experience in developing and implementing policy, procedures, and practices across a large number of service offerings.
- Current Working with Children Check, National Police Check, First Aid Certificate and Valid NSW Driver’s License
