Reporting into the Medical Education Senior Director (Orthopaedics International) responsible for crafting meaningful strategy & programs for the courses related with practicing surgeons, nurses, residents, fellows, or other related Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in Orthopaedics relative to key focus areas in ANZ & Asia Cluster (Regional Programs in SN Academy for ANZ & North Asia)
What will you be doing?
Work closely with HCP faculty and internal partners, to implement high-quality programs that drive adoption in key focus areas of the Orthopaedics franchise. Establishes program learning objectives, build scientific agenda, attendee profile, communicates these to the business organization and reinforces criteria during enrollment to lead to product adoption.
Act as a point of contact for Orthopaedics VSPs/RVSPs, including proactive correspondence with host surgeons, visiting surgeons and associated Sales & Marketing staff to manage availability in relation to case schedules.
Adapts the content developed by Global content development to the countries’ needs, in terms of pre/post content, agenda, attendees’ profiles, and others. Also embraces new technologies available (Virtual Reality, Simulation, Education Unlimited, others) to provide blended learning journeys. Ensure all scientific agenda are prepared and presented to global agenda review committee in-line with strategy, budgets, and compliance policies.
Translates the key commercial priorities of the assigned business to medical education needs and plans a med ed calendar & resources accordingly. Identifies and engages with Key Opinion Leaders on current trends and needs in the industry. Identifies opportunities for collaboration on education. Selects and maintains the relation with faculty. Responsible for faculty communication, invitation, and development
Includes in Engage all information regarding the course and the explanation behind the selection of the faculties and is in close contact with Professional Affairs regarding the contractual situation of the faculties.
Understand the marketing strategy, including focus products within the Orthopaedics franchises, in order to deliver medical education training programs and Implement evaluation tools and feedback mechanisms and report the same for global critical metric Dashboards.
What will you need to be successful?
Success in the role will require a combination of technical knowledge, soft skills, and a deep understanding of both the business and service-providing sides of an organization. Successful candidates would need the following:
Tertiary qualifications in a clinical role, ideally as an RN in an orthopaedic (joint reconstruction) discipline
Experience in medical education and course design
Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as an RN in an orthopaedic operating room setting
Good understanding of healthcare system and key stakeholders
Proven experience in the successful management of complex workloads
3+ years Marketing experience in the healthcare industry
Understanding of medical industry and MTAA Code of Conduct
Exposure to cadaveric laboratories
Experience working with diverse cultures
Proven experience working in an education function
