CITB is a whole-of-industry led organisation that provides support to attract, train and retain South Australian building and construction workers by providing leadership in training and skills development.
doorways2construction is South Australia’s premier secondary schools’ program for the building and construction industry and is a signature program for the CITB. This program ensures secondary school students are afforded the opportunity to engage in vocational education and training (VET) and other career exploration programs at schools to provide a pipeline of skilled workers for the building and construction industry.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Officer-doorways2construction to join the Workforce Skills & Training team. The Program Officer-doorways2construction will support the overall administration and delivery of the doorways2construction program. Applicants with experience working within the VET sector or in secondary schools are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for D2C program enquiries, applications and claims.
- Process secondary school student CITB registrations with eligibility requirements set by CITB policies and funding conditions.
- Liaise with training provider, secondary schools and suppliers and other key stakeholders to support the deliver of D2C programs.
- Assist with conducting audits on claims and funding conditions and contribute to continuous improvement processes
- Provide administrative support to CITB programs and initiatives
- Proactively demonstrate a commitment to WHS, putting the safety of your co-workers, visitors, clients, and yourself first every time
- Contribute to the success of our business through collaboration, high performance and working with respect.
Essential:
- Minimum of 3 years administration experience, ideally working within vocational or education sector
- Experience in customer service-oriented roles, including complaint handling
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage time effectively and to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner
- High level attention to detail
- Exposure to policy interpretation and the application of a range of administrative procedures and processes
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of programs, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams
- Familiarity pulling and creating reports from a database
- Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated skills in consultation and capacity to interact at Senior Manager level and represent CITB in external contexts
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively, use initiative, and develop solutions for complex tasks
- Highly developed time management, organisational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
