We are currently seeking a Program Officer to support the Healthy Ageing at Home program to provide services in the ACT. Join our dynamic, supportive and multidisciplinary team to provide healthy ageing initiatives to the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

We’re here to provide our local communities in NSW and the ACT with equitable, inclusive and integrated health care including physical health and mental health care services. We currently employ 400 people, provide services from 25 locations and are continuing to grow.
About the position
The Healthy Ageing at Home program aims to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander older people to live at Home for longer through early intervention initiatives that promote healthy ageing and the ongoing management of chronic conditions, reducing the need of entering residential aged care.
The Program Officer is responsible for providing administrative and program support to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects in line with established objectives. The position also requires a high level of engagement with community groups, health professionals, and collaboration with the broader team, to promote and coordinate events and health promotion activities that contribute to support the wellbeing of individuals and the community.
The opportunity will be based in our Tuggeranong hub, on a part-time basis (30 hours per week) to 30 June 2025. Hours and days are negotiable.
We are looking for someone with:
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience and training in administration, program, and/or project administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong customer service skills and an ability to effectively engage with a wide diversity of people
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders to engage and maintain positive working relationships
- Experience in a fast-paced office environment, the ability to be flexible, demonstrate a willingness to learn, have attention to detail and maintain confidentiality
