Salary: Academic C - $ $140,433 - $161,926 - Academic D - $169,094 - $186,288 p.a. plus 17% super (pro rata for part-time)

The Director of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (DoAT CAP) will lead and oversee the Mindful Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Course (CAPC) They will be responsible for the oversight of RANZCP Advanced Training for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Victoria, liaising closely with a wide range of clinical services, supervisors and trainees. Additionally, they will be a member of the Mindful Leadership Team and will contribute to teaching and training within the University of Melbourne Department of Psychiatry and other Mindful courses.Your responsibilities will include:
- Primary responsibility for the co-ordination and delivery of teaching in the RANZCP accredited Mindful Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Course (CAPC) ensuring needed content knowledge, clinical and professional skills developments and development of professional attitudes as well as providing mentoring and pastoral support.
- Contribute through membership of relevant RANZCP committees to Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training both in Victoria and binationally.
- Review and modify existing Mindful-based courses and curriculum and develop new training courses in response to sector requirements and in consultation with the Director and relevant stakeholders and consumers.
- Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and in continuing professional development courses for the broader infant, Child and Adolescent/youth mental health (ICYMHS) workforce.
The ideal candidate should possess strong organisational skills, enabling them to effectively manage competing deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating initiative and flexibility. Additionally, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for liaising across the mental health sector, along with problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to network and partner with various stakeholders.You will also have:
- Legally qualified medical practitioner, eligible to be registered with AHPRA.
- A Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), or equivalent.
- Completion of the RANZCP Certificate of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Evidence of clinical practice in infant, child, adolescent and youth psychiatry.
