- Permanent Part time 9 hours per week
- $68,379.18 per annum (pro rata) plus Superannuation

To contribute to the provision of high-quality library services that meet the educational, recreational and information needs of the diverse Hume community by providing a high level of customer service and supporting the professional presentation of library facilities.
What you’ll be doing:
- To support the facilitation of learning for the Hume community through delivery and support programs.
- Providing assistance to Primary and Secondary students with homework tasks.
- Understanding and adhering to the procedures of the Homework Clubs and helping to orientate those new to the program.
- Assisting with parent inquiries via phone and email regarding children and young people who attend the program.
- Support the delivery of programs across Hume Libraries, including Children’s, Youth, Adult, and Digital Literacy.
- Undertake customer service duties via phone, email and face to face as required.
- Register new library members and issue replacement cards.
- Educate and support customers in using self-service technology, other Hume libraries applications, programs bookings software and libraries website.
- Assist in the set up and pack up of programs, including ensuring materials are fit for purpose, and maintaining or cleaning equipment, where required.
- Record keeping, data entry, and other admin tasks, as required.
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:
- Ability to identify customer needs and expectations, decide the appropriate action and respond accordingly.
- Communicate both verbally and in written form with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to use a variety of computer hardware and software.
- Experience in a Public library or similar environment.
- Current driver’s license
