About the Centre
South Gippsland SPLASH is owned by South Gippsland Shire Council and managed by YMCA Victoria. As a YMCA community centre, we understand the needs of our members and visitors. We work with a number of community, sports and government bodies to offer opportunities for all our participants. YMCA is the leader in community and recreation facility management. We aim to provide the best in community care and services. Facilities include an eight lane 25m indoor pool, leisure pool, toddler pool and stadium.
About the role
As a Programs Coordinator at South Gippsland SPLASH you will be required to develop a variety of stadium-based programs to enhance the health and wellbeing of residents within South Gippsland. You will be responsible to establish and drive a range of sports based programs in a stadium and group fitness setting. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Provide customers with a variety of non-competitive stadium activities
- Leading other casual members of the team
- Ensure the Group Fitness program meets the needs of the local community
- Manage the Birthday party bookings at the centre
- Promote available programs and services
This is a part time position, 30 hours per week across 4 days (5 days negotiable). The hourly rate is $32.54 per hour + super.
About you
You will be passionate about sport and recreation with a desire to increase fitness and participation for community of all ages/abilities. With our focus on providing the exceptional customer experience we will be looking for someone who is energetic, can help to create a welcoming environment and enthusiastic about helping and assisting others. Recent experience in, or a detailed knowledge of, Health & Wellness programs and skills is highly desirable.
Qualifications & Experience
- First Aid and CPR certificates
- Minimum one years in a similar role with sport and recreation
