AddressAbout the Role:
Consunet is seeking a self-motivated Project Accountant to support the enterprise with the management of project finances. As a Project Accountant, you will support the Financial Controller and other key stakeholders in maintaining the financial functions within projects to ensure integrity and transparency of financial data to facilitate planning and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support key program customer financial deliverables, including budgets, allowable Cost Reviews, and other customer assurance activities.
- Support mobilisation activities including process, reporting set up, and governance
- Provide accurate and relevant project financial performance reporting with commentary, including risk & opportunities and EVM.
- Support the Financial Controller in the creation and maintenance of costing models
- Co-ordinate and assist in the preparation and review of the project annual budgets, monthly re-forecast
- Ensure compliance to enterprise guidelines, policies and procedures
- Contributing to the modernisation of Project Finance and delivery of continuous improvement
- Provide assistance to key stakeholders, in the effective and profitable delivery of customer projects in all aspects of the project life cycle and ensure collaboration across the teams
- Provide an internal audit function, ensuring project setup and maintenance compliance
- Supporting Project Managers in the ongoing achievement of project finance outcomes, assisting in the provision of financial data to support project budgeting decisions.
- Provide coaching and financial insight to our Project Support Officers
- Working with the broader finance team and Data Analyst to ensure effective outcomes for the enterprise are achieved
- Any other tasks as determined by the CFO
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Requires a University Degree in commerce, finance or accounting, or an appropriate level of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with project and business reporting including forecasting.
- Experience in Project systems and tools, such as Tempo with the ability to connect technical setup to process and utilisation
- The ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and members of the broader finance team
- Drives tasks to successful completion and closure.
- Shows determination in the face of obstacles and setbacks.
