What you will do:
We are looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join our growing Kewdale team on a full-time, permanent basis. The functions of this role include:
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure integrity and timeliness of project financial data and reporting.
- Contribute to month end and year end processes including ERP month end close.
- Assist Project Managers to monitor project financial performance against budgets.
- Preparation of periodic project reports (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Complete reconciliations and investigate variances and their causes.
- Provide analysis of trends, costs, profitability, and other information as requested.
- Contribute to the budget process ensuring compliance with deadlines and standards.
- Assist in the review and update of monthly and quarterly project forecasts (both financial and technical).
What are we looking for from you?
- Degree (or higher) level qualifications in Accounting / Business.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar position (Engineering, Manufacturing, Trade, or Service-based industry is desirable).
- Experience using an ERP system (MS Dynamics, SAP, or other).
- Ability to use Excel for advanced data manipulation and statistical modelling using functions such as Goal Seek, Data Tables and Scenario Manager.
- Confident in communicating financial information with a variety of people including non-financial Business Leaders / Project Managers.
- Exposure to creating and maintaining reports in Power BI or similar (advantageous).
- Some interstate travel may be required from time to time.
