Job description

· Opportunity to play a project lead role delivering safety projects
· Flexible working arrangements
· Permanent opportunity - $108,927 + Super
We’re recognised worldwide for our performance and innovation to secure water supplies for Western Australia in a changing climate. We’re driven to make our state a great place to live, and we have career opportunities to help make it happen.
A career at Water Corporation can unlock the door to ongoing long term career development opportunities; we also support training and development, flexible work arrangements, health and lifestyle programs and generous company benefits.
If you share our commitment to WA then consider Water Corporation as the next step in your career.
About the role:
As Senior Advisor – Safety & Wellbeing Projects, you’ll learn a lot from your knowledgeable OSH colleagues, and you’ll sharpen your project management skills to a new level, with opportunities to drive major safety improvements across a broad range of teams. Reporting to the Lead - Safety & Wellbeing Projects, this is permanent role.
What the role will involve:
Better safety starts with better conversations.
Discussions that are born from the relationships you’ll build with senior managers, external contractors and your safety colleagues. It’s the information you gather that’ll help you influence an improved approach to Safety and shape the Safety and Wellbeing strategy.
You’ll be leading multi-functional project teams across different stages of projects. Working closely together, you’ll interpret stakeholder perspectives and make informed suggestions to solve their issues.
You’ll collect feedback around risks, remove OSH business-speak and simplify everything into a language everyone understands.
Your goal? To work with people to constantly improve safety culture, while shaping better business decisions.
This is the sort of work you enjoy doing by interacting with people face-to-face or over the phone, rather than email or within spreadsheets.
Key skills and experience:
You’re experienced at leading projects along with teams of people to reach common goals. You have a understanding of Operational OSH, and you understand how to make significant business improvements.
You know how to take a lead without being prompted. You’re also one of those people who knows the importance of keeping people in the picture through reporting on project timeframes, forecasting, easily describing risks and opportunities.
If you’re wondering what qualifications you might need for this role, a Project Management certification (CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner) or equivalent business-related discipline is highly sought after. You will also have considerable experience and demonstrated achievements in participating with and advising a multi-disciplinary workforce. Even better if you have prior OSH experience.
Real benefits that matter.

  • Real flexibility with options to work from home, flexible work hours
  • Two well-being days each year to do whatever you need to do to feel good
  • Access to long service leave pro rata after 3 years of service
  • Generous co-contribution superannuation up to 13%
  • Purchase additional leave of up to 4 weeks
Applications close 4th March 2024
As part of the recruitment process you may be required to complete Pre-Employment screening which may include a medical, qualification check, police clearance and Australian working rights check.
We reserve the right to withdraw this ad prior to the closing date.
