About the program:
FISH (Family Information Support & Help Service) is an internal program funded by One Tree Community Services (OTCS). FISH was established in 2012 to provide family support services to vulnerable families in regional and remote areas of Western Australian and Northern Territory. The FISH service has since extended its reach to support families and services across all jurisdictions throughout Australia. The Healing Hearts = Strong Kids program has been designed using a Positive Behaviour Support approach to support services, families, and communities to build an understanding of trauma-related challenging behaviours and develop skills and knowledge of appropriate responses, so adults feel confident in supporting children
About the role:
One Tree Community Service are looking for a Project Assistant to work with the programs facilitator in the delivery of 6 training models to identified locations across the West Pilbara. They will assist to meet the outcomes and deliverables as set out in the Healing Hearts = Strong Kids program objectives and outcomes, help build relationships with stakeholders in identified communities by using a fully inclusive, non-judgemental, no blame no shame approach. The Project Assistant will work with the practitioner to also provide support and assistance to identified communities, as per Family Information Support and Help (FISH) program guidelines, when required and holistic support services for a locally based trainee to encourage sustainability of the program and a culturally safe workplace.
This position and you:
You will have experience working in a similar role with a passion for training delivery, a strong local knowledge and understanding of the local workforce needs desirable, full c class drivers licence and the ability to work autonomously essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, well-developed written, oral communication skills , commitment to continuous improvement and developing efficiencies in service delivery highly regarded along with demonstrated ability to problem solve and reflect. You will be approachable, sensitive and have a can do attitude with an understanding of and commitment to One Tree’s mission, values, and code of ethics.
