Job Description
- Under the guidance of the Principal Engineer, manage the area's lighting and electrical assets, including condition assessment, scoping of projects, preparing maintenance and renewal programs and ensuring assets are constructed and handed over in accordance with the area's requirements and recorded in the area's assets and GIS systems.
- Investigate public domain electrical and lighting issues and inquiries and prepare technical reports with recommendations on appropriate actions. Undertake field inspections as required, including during construction and at asset handover and preparation of accurate reports as required.
- Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering
- Technical working knowledge of AS/NZS 1158 and AS/NZS 3000
- Undertaken street lighting work desirable.
- +2 years in related electrical engineering role.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and negotiation skills with a customer service focus.
- Must have NSW Class C Driver Licence
- $50-$70 hourly rate depending on experience
- Potential of contract extension
