About Great River City Light Rail
Western Sydney is one of the fastest growing regions in our country, with the population of Greater Parramatta alone set to climb by 50 per cent by 2041 and at Great River City Light Rail we want to create new communities, connect great places and help locals and visitors move around and explore what the region has to offer. The new Light Rail will connect Westmead to Carlingford via the Parramatta CBD and Camellia, spanning 12 kilometres and utilising state-of-the-art vehicles that delivers comfortable, user-friendly and high-performance services. By 2026, around 28,000 people will use Parramatta Light Rail every day and an estimated 130,000 people will be living within walking distance of light rail stops.
We have completed the installation of all track and light rail stop overhead canopies. Ongoing minor construction work continues, including the fit out of light rail stops, installation of power substations, light rail overhead wiring and underground cabling. In addition, the Stabling and Maintenance Facility at Camellia continues to be transformed into a world-class facility with works underway to fit out the administration building and fleet maintenance workshop.

Your high-level problem-solving skills will allow you to manage difficult situations including responding to emergencies and restoring assets after incidents. This will be supported by the ability carry out asset inspections and undertake fault finding and ensure asset reliability. Equally important is the ability to engage and build effective working relationships both internally and externally (contractors) with a focus on building a cohesive team and then development and leadership.
Essential to your success will be the ability to build and lead the function from operational readiness phase to first passenger services and beyond.
