This position will lead and provide support to our highly capable and skilled team of Project Control Analysts and will be accountable to General Manager, Commercial & Strategy.
This is a permanent position and can be located in any major centre (Queensland). This is a Professional & Managerial Grade Three level position with salaries starting from $186k + 12.75% super.Some of your responsibilities include:
- Lead the team that supports Project Managers in managing scope, schedule, cost, contract, and risk to ensure accurate and timely reporting of project performance.
- Provide advanced program / project financial planning for the project portfolio
- Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure project reporting is of a high standard of quality and timeliness.
- Uses expert knowledge and ability to consider the impacts and recognise risks, provide outcomes and solutions to manage risks.
- Actively contribute to the improvement of project cost processes and methodology to ensure adherence with project budgets and financial governance.
- Partner with Project Managers and project teams to establish the project budget and making project accounting recommendations as needed.
- Lead the development of reports and tracking of Project Controls, including KPIs and schedules to ensure the contractual requirements of the project are met.
- Lead the development and ongoing management of the implementation of the cost and planning control structures in alignment with the project Work Breakdown Structure.
- Collaborates effectively managing information and confidentiality requirements across Energy Queensland Limited in accordance with applicable ring-fencing parameters.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to health, safety and environment and support a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and practices.
You have a strong understanding of Engineering Procurement, Construction (EPC) and Principal Contractor pricing models and agreements, particularly in lump sum/hard dollar contracts.
You have experience supporting projects each with a minimum value of $100m.
You have experience in leading, managing, developing and coaching a high performing team of professional staff.
You have strong commercial acumen with demonstrated skill in setting of project strategy, commercial modelling/forecasting, performance reporting, finance management and risk management.Essentials
- Degree qualifications in Commerce or Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent relevant experience.
- A minimum of five years’ experience leading Project Control teams within Construction, Energy, Mining/Resources industry.
