Seeking a dedicated and experienced Future Fuels Project Controls Manager to lead the implementation of the Lytton Refinery Future Fuels Project. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with mandated Australian fuel quality specifications by early 2025. The successful candidate will oversee the Project Controls function, encompassing planning and scheduling, cost management, risk reporting, and document control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to deliver Project Controls deliverable's throughout all formal stage gates in alignment with the Projects (PAA) process.
- Prepare and develop comprehensive Project Controls management plans.
- Provide valuable input on estimates, schedules, and costs during the project Front End phase.
- Manage reporting against business requirements to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Support the development of project HSE safety management systems.
- Assist in Regulatory and Planning submissions.
- Contribute to planning, estimating, and contracting strategies to optimise project outcomes.
- Ensure clear role clarity and accountability across all maintenance activities within the team.
- Resource and manage the Project Controls team according to the Project Controls Management plan.
- Manage critical interfaces with Finance and other business systems to facilitate smooth project operations.
Scope of Role:
- Lead Project Controls input throughout the assessment, scoping, and delivery phases of the Future Fuels Project Suite.
- Manage and control the overall project estimate and schedule preparation.
- Set and manage achievement of project KPIs.
- Handle project and construction risk reporting.
- Manage development plans and opportunities within team resources.
- All decisions are to be made within Delegation of Authority guidelines.
Essential:
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Experience in large, complex hydrocarbon projects in LNG, Refining, or similar industry with brownfield scopes in a client-side role.
- Experience in LNG/Petrochemical/Refining project execution, T&I (shutdown), operations, maintenance, reliability/technical role.
- Appropriate professional accreditation.
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in client-side Project Controls management in complex contracting environments including brownfield, greenfield EPC.
- Experience in HSE in an Australian environment.
- Expertise in construction/execution project control systems: cost, schedule, quality, etc.
- Demonstrated leadership behaviours consistent with the companies Capabilities.
- Experience in the assessment of EPC contractor payment claims.
- Experience in project estimating.
- Senior stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in implementing a formal project document control system in a client-side IT operating environment.
Essential:
- Working knowledge of risk engineering and risk management concepts.
- Systemic thinking and applied problem-solving skills to identify root causes.
