Project Coordinator

The newly established Business Intelligence, Planning and Improvement department aims to improve delivery, coordination and alignment of services across the organisation. We provide a ‘one stop shop’ for enterprise-wide analysis, reporting, improvement and decision support, as well as program planning, delivery, change and governance through a collaborative and localised partnership model. 

We are now looking for a pool of strong Project Coordinators to join our team. You’ll have a pivotal role in being the first point of contact and business partner for our internal customers across the organisation.  

You will provide localised decision and project coordination support with an improvement focus, assisting with quick wins, manage ‘local projects’ and drive improvements to service delivery. You will also assist with gathering requirements for larger projects, coordinating and connecting stakeholders with other organisational services and solicit or refer to the expertise from other teams within the department and broader organisation where required. 

This role would suit an outgoing, analytically minded and solution focussed self-starter who enjoys solving business problems and building relationships.  

You will be part of a highly skilled, committed and collaborative team that together provide crucial and highly valued services to the rest of the organisation.  

What you’ll do:  

• Managing day to day running of projects and project teams, project boards, documentation, reporting, to budget, on time and within established scope.   
• Work closely and collaboratively within the department to establish, improve and implement processes, tools and frameworks for successful project delivery and management. 
• Responsible for the successful delivery of enterprise-wide programs and projects on time, within scope and budget.  
• Working across all of St John WA’s departments, liaising and providing collaborative consultancy to key stakeholders at all levels. 
• Providing subject matter expertise and strategic advice on best practice project management, improving organisation wide capability and maturity. 

What you’ll need: 

• Very strong communication skills, with the ability to connect and engage with stakeholders at all levels including executive.  
• Have experience in managing and coordinating projects, including documentation and organising information and people.  
• Strong initiative and ‘can-do’ attitude 
• Ability to use and educate stakeholders on project and business management frameworks, templates and processes 
• Proven experience establishing productive and strong working relationships with excellent stakeholder management skills 
• Formal project management accreditation / certification desirable 
• Education in a relevant field desirable
