We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator with a passion for inclusion in the early years.
This project will enable children with disability and their parent/carers, including parents with disability, to develop strong community connections in the years prior to school. You will be responsible for developing resources and training as well as building the capacity of playgroup WA staff and community playgroup leaders to make playgroups more inclusive with a particular focus on regional and remote communities.

About Playgroup WA
Playgroup WA is the Peak Body for playgroups in Western Australia. Initially founded in 1972 to support the growth of parent/carer run playgroups, Playgroup WA now supports and delivers a wide variety of volunteer and professional playgroup models and services to diverse communities across the state.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to lead the Inclusion project throughout Western Australia, managing the codesign process to bring together people with disability, parents/carers and playgroup leaders to identify and resolve barriers to playgroup participation for children with disability. You will also be responsible for developing resources and training for staff and playgroup members.
The position will be based in our North Perth head office and will involve occasional travel to regional and remote sites.

Essential Criteria
Relevant qualification and/or experience in disability services, community services, allied health or a related field.
Experience in project coordination and codesign.
Demonstrated experience in community capacity building and family focussed service delivery.
Substantial knowledge of contemporary approaches to disability and inclusion.
Knowledge of early childhood development.
Strong organisational, administration and time management skills.
Well developed interpersonal skills.
Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
Essential Requirements
Current Working with Children Check
Current Police Clearance
Current valid Driver’s Licence for use in WA
Reliable vehicle for work related travel (mileage will be paid for business use)
