Position purpose:
The role of Project Coordinator is accountable to ensure that all aspects of project coordination is managed effectively to deliver client projects on time, within budget and to the appropriate specifications as agreed in scope.
Key Responsibilities:
The Production Manager, Mackay will be responsible for:
• Ensure risk assessments are completed in line with HBT policies and procedures.
• Manage project schedule and update gantt charts as required as well as capturing variations to scope to ensure accurate record keeping.
• Manage subcontracts for the duration of each project, ensuring appropriate safety inductions are completed.
• Procurement of parts with an attention to delivery schedules, ensuring timely instalment of key components.
• Manage the completion, lodgement and storage of records for all work carried out under the contract.
• Liaise with support staff as required for client access to the records relating to a project.
• Develop and maintain effective and professional working relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Participate in meetings with clients to review safety performance, progress on scope of work, variations, overall project performance etc. on a regular basis to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Manag the delivery of projects to ensure each is on time and within budget and flag any issues that may be present.
• Maintain comprehensive records regarding any contractual issues and agreements with the client and escalate to Operations Manager if necessary.
• Maintain effective communication with involved departments to ensure project resources are best managed and allocated to achieve timely completion of the project within budget.
• Monitor the costs as the project progresses in comparison with the approved budget and to maintain currency of the project schedule and forecasts.
Knowledge & Experience
• Relevant Trade Qualification or Degree Qualified.
• Heavy Industrial and/or Underground Mining Experience.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong project management skills and experience, including planning, delivery and reporting.
• Strong technical trade knowledge and demonstrated ability to oversee complex projects.
