This role is tailor-made for someone with years of industry experience who is ready to step up, lead us on our next growth period and diversify their skill set.
The Role:
You will lead all aspects of our major projects team within our organisation including portions of project & contract management, business development, client management and assist us with FFE & Storage consultancy. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of project managers and ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Head of Projects will work closely with senior management to develop and implement project strategies, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure that all projects align with the organization's goals and objectives.
These projects will be brought in by our business development arms and existing network of Tier One business and builders. You will have a key role in leading client and stakeholder engagement, tendering and resulting project management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of project managers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed
- Develop and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure consistent and effective project delivery
- Work closely with senior management to develop and implement project strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives
- Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
- Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders
- Manage project budgets and resources, and ensure that all project expenses are tracked and accounted for
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project management team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, engineering, project management)
- At least 7 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks
- Experience with project management software and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello)
- Project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable
