Our client is a global leader in biotechnology, developing and delivering innovative therapies for rare and serious diseases. Based in Melbourne, they currently have a 12 month opening for a Project Manager - Engineer. This has the potential to be extended for a second year.
Key responsibilities:
This role will assist the Senior Project Manager to deliver the Bulk Process scope of the Capacity Expansion Project with primary focus on two key sub projects:
- A recently identified change to the order of Bulk Process Formulation steps requiring basic & detailed design then implementation of mechanical and automation changes.
- A planned change to modify the transfer of Bulk product to the Filling Line from pumped transfer to pressure transfer
This will involve:
- managing $500k to $2m worth of capital (Tier 2 project category)
- Working with various functions – technical process engineering team to assist with design
- Working with automation group and external vendors for supply of equipment
- Working with 5-6 key people
- 5yrs experience in pharmaceutical projects is essential
- Involvement in design and delivery / implementation of Capital projects and commissioning and qualification would be ideal
- Bulk processing experience
- Dealing with systems that are direct product contact
- Operating experience – process or maintenance engineer experience
- Engineering qualification
- Pay-rate negotiable approx $70/ hr plus superannuation
