Project Engineer

Moec is seeking Project Engineers with Gas Gathering, Piping, or Buried Services Experience to work on our HDPE Gas Gathering Project in the Surat Basin. 

Moec Water and Energy provides pipeline construction and gas-gathering services to our CSG clients. This includes Civil, Welding, Live Excavations, Tie-ins, Testing, and Commissioning. 

The works are based near Roma and Wandoan, QLD. The Roster is 18 Days on, 10 days off (providing two weekends and a week at home). 

2-3 years of consistent work. 

Pay and Opportunity for growth is best in industry with a smaller growing business. Growth path to PM, OM, GM. 

Duties include:

Assist our Project Engineer with all facets, including but not limited to:   

• Planning and scheduling delivery of projects within time, cost, quality and safety criteria;
• Issuing construction work packs based on contract scope of work and specifications in consultation with the Project Manager and/or Construction Superintendent and Supervisors.
• Material take-off and procurement of construction materials;
• Coordinating mobilisation of personnel, including rosters, flights, and accommodation with Moec head office staff
• Tracking and updating the project schedule.
• Daily and Monthly reporting.
• Assist the project team in the development and review of Q.A. Documents to ensure that they meet the contract specifications.
• Assist in the management of subcontractors and hire agreements for plant and equipment.
• Estimating and submission of variations to contract scope of works

Undertake work-related training and self-development for career advancement.

To be considered for these roles, you must have the following relevant qualifications, certifications and experience:

• Keen interest to work away (DIDO / FIFO), save money and invest in future
• Relevant Tertiary qualifications 
• A high degree of enthusiasm and drive, with a strong desire to deliver positive outcomes as part of a team
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Good leadership, organisational and communication skills with the ability to develop, manage and maintain great relationships 
• Understanding of engineering calculations and checking design deliverables, (documents and drawings)
• Strong computer literacy skill, MS Office suite and MS Project;
• Willingness to work on a range of projects.

• Willingness to travel and work in remote locations
