About the role
McIlwain are seeking a Project Engineer who will play a crucial role in helping to deliver a slope stabilisation project in the Scenic Rim. The successful candidate will have a safety focus and be interested in multiple facets of an engineering role, including cost control, quality management, procurement and planning.
Duties
- Assisting the Project Manager in the administration of the project, including project monthly claims, variations, responses to clients, extensions of time and delay claims including budget entry in costing system.
- Be aware of critical activities and ensure these are given priority and communicate such with the site project supervisor.
- Develop non-conformance reports (NCRs) including corrective and preventative actions, in corporation with the project team, as required.
- Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Skills & experience
- Bachelor in Civil Engineering at minimum.
- 5+ years experience in a Site or Project Engineering capacity.
- Experience in Geotechnical Slope Stabilisation projects highly regarded.
