Our company is expanding its engineering capability and we wish to have an experienced Project Engineer join our professional team. This position is crucial to the further development and consolidation of our innovative products and manufacturing processes.
The Position:
The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating all aspects of projects under their control, this includes co-ordination during quotation through to project completion.
- Design, innovate, and problem-solve for a variety of engineering and process-based projects.
- Estimate, plan, schedule, and coordinate projects under your purview.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and testing, to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
- Address design and production challenges in collaboration with the engineering and process design team.
- Manage drawing and document control as necessary.
- Handle procurement of components and exercise project cost control measures.
The Person:
We are looking for someone who has
- At least 3 years' successful experience in a project management role.
- Tertiary mechanical engineering qualification
- Sound knowledge of engineering workshop practice - particularly machining.
- Ability to manage customer projects from quotation to delivery stage
- Experience in large marine applications
- Marine defence industry experience
- Proficiency in spoken/written English
