Bauer Foundations is a market leader in piling, retaining structures and ground engineering solutions with a national footprint and continued growth. We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team.
As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for the following
- Plan, design, document and manage construction activities and processes.
- Implement and monitor the project program in respect to engineering services.
- Participate in the preparation and implementation of the project plans.
- Implement measures to sustain and improve the performance of your team to deliver effective and efficient work outcomes.
- Manage and monitor resources for the project.
- Develop and foster effective and regular communication with the Project Team including suppliers and clients.
- Ensure activities are carried out in accordance with the Quality Assurance, Environmental Management and Safety Management Plans and other relevant standards and legislation.
- Complete reporting requirements for financial, operation and survey needs of the site.
- Comply with health and safety requirements and promote a work environment which reflects this behavior.
About you:
- Tertiary qualified as a Civil Engineer
- Have achieved or close to achieving IE Aust membership status (or better)
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the ground engineering sector (contracting / consulting)
- Have an active interest in technical aspects of geotechnical / piling / ground improvement.
- Ability to work through technical documents, drawings, specifications, and accurately compile tenders.
- Organised and pro-actively seek advice and review.
- People management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Work well in both a team environment and independently
- Have a quality and safety focus.
- Experience with using ground engineering design packages and spreadsheets.
- Local experience and knowledge of Australian Standards and Codes of Practice
