RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In conjunction with other members of the QA function and in support of the PD function when introducing new products:
- Engage in risk reduction activities through implementation of DFMEA & PFMEA.
- Deliver Quality Control coverage for new projects through:
- Part Inspection Standards
- Quality sign-off engineering drawings
- Control Plans
- Measurement Systems Analysis
- Development of Standard Work (for Assembly and Quality tasks)
- Selection and introduction of Inspection equipment
- Service kit development
- Review of supplier PPAP submissions
- Compilation of customer PPAP documentation
- Carry out other tasks as directed by the Quality Manager.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualifications in Quality / Mechanical / Precision Engineering or relevant industrial experience.
- Possess knowledge of automotive products and associated manufacturing processes.
- Possess knowledge and experience with quality management systems, automotive quality systems, lean manufacturing, six sigma, etc.
- Problem solving & root cause analysis experience.
- Internal auditing experience / qualifications is desirable.
- Possess excellent written & oral communication and project management skills.
- Strong computer literacy skills.
