Our opportunity
We have an unique opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team Masterplanned communities project team, delivering The Fabric development in Altona North.
The Fabric is an 11.4 hectare urban infill site located in Altona North, nine kilometres west of Melbourne’s CBD. The masterplan comprises a total of over 550 dwellings offering 2, 3 and 4-bedroom townhouses and mid-rise apartments. The Fabric townhouses achieve a strong, contemporary architectural style and deliver sustainable outcomes for future residents with all townhouses achieving a 7-star energy rating and provisioned with solar panels and fully electric appliances. Over one hectare of public open space will be delivered, including a main local park, a pocket park and linear trails linking green areas throughout the development.
As Project Engineer, you will be based in on site, supporting the Project Manager and Site Manager to successfully build our Mirvac development(s) to schedule, cost, and to the highest levels of customer satisfaction, quality, and HSE at all times. This will involve coordinating and monitoring the activities and efforts of subcontractors and suppliers onsite, support in developing and maintaining construction programmes and schedules, assist in implementing the procurement strategy, preparation and monitoring of quality assurance procedures, as well as project documentation.
As Project Engineer, you will also be involved in coaching our estimators, site administrators and cadet team members to support in their development, fostering the Mirvac Values.
Your point of difference
Experience in a similar role, preferably on large medium density building projects within a Main Contractor environment
Qualification in a relevant field of study is preferred however not essential
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to problem solve in a dynamic, fast paced environment
Collaborative nature, with the ability to form strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, including our sub-contractors
Passionate about delivering customer focused quality, leaving a positive legacy in the communities in which you operate
