About the Role:
WorkPac are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join the team at Humes at their site in Gnangara. The Project Engineer will assist with the planning, executing, and finalising of projects and is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of new and ongoing projects. The role will hold a Monday to Friday roster and will be suited to an Engineering professional with experience in the Civil and Construction industry that has a keen interest in being involved in delivering projects from infancy to final completion.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring safety management and systems to protect the health and safety of all people.
- Ensure quality management systems are in place and adhered to
- Execute production plans in accordance with business targets.
- Ensure maximum operational and production efficiency of the facility.
- Managing day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope including liaising with external and internal stakeholders.
- Provide leadership to staff including development of competencies.
- Minimising exposure and risk on projects and identify and implement improvement initiatives.
- Reinforce company values to the production teams.
- Ensure safety management and systems to protect the health and safety of all people.
- To assist and work with the business unit on technical and practical engineering tasks
- Managing supply of precast products to civil infrastructure projects.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Qualification in Mechanical, Civil, or other relevant Engineering disciplines beneficial
- Industry experience will be highly regarded but experience in related industries e.g. civil construction/ heavy industrial manufacturing and similar also considered.
- Practical experience in the prestress, precast or reinforced concrete beneficial.
- Strongproblemsolving ability and an ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Prior experience as a Project Engineer beneficial
- Highly effective communication skills
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- C class driver's license
