About the role
This position involves the planning and co-ordination of civil works for various clients, to ensure they are delivered safely, on time and meet budgetary and quality requirements:
- Act as Superintendents Representative on various contracts;
- Implement project planning, programming and resourcing;
- Manage all allocated works from concept to completion within acceptable timelines;
- Prepare and present progress reports;
- Coordinate activities to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the client receives satisfactory standards of service;
- Estimate the costs, resources, and time required to complete the assigned phase of an engineering project and monitor activities, allocate resources and assign tasks to ensure these targets are met;
- Investigate and follow up on any customer or client complaints and resolve;
- Actively participate in communication with the client;
- Prepare Project Management Plans and project field packs as required;
- Maintain program timelines and identify/address any issues that may arise;
- Review Payment Claims; and
- Manage relationships with Contractors.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is honest, self-motivated and reliable with a high level of attention to detail.
The successful candidate will also have:
- You will hold a tertiary qualification in engineering (civil is preferred) or equivalent;
- Strong understanding of contract administration and Civil Engineering principles;
- Broad understanding of business, QA and financial principles;
- Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience (civil construction & engineering management);
- Committed professional with strong commercial acumen;
- The ability to develop strong relationships with all stakeholders; and
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of the Project Management Services team and with teams from our other service lines
