About the role

This position involves the planning and co-ordination of civil works for various clients, to ensure they are delivered safely, on time and meet budgetary and quality requirements:

• Act as Superintendents Representative on various contracts;
• Implement project planning, programming and resourcing;
• Manage all allocated works from concept to completion within acceptable timelines;
• Prepare and present progress reports;
• Coordinate activities to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the client receives satisfactory standards of service;
• Estimate the costs, resources, and time required to complete the assigned phase of an engineering project and monitor activities, allocate resources and assign tasks to ensure these targets are met;
• Investigate and follow up on any customer or client complaints and resolve;
• Actively participate in communication with the client;
• Prepare Project Management Plans and project field packs as required;
• Maintain program timelines and identify/address any issues that may arise;
• Review Payment Claims; and
• Manage relationships with Contractors.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is honest, self-motivated and reliable with a high level of attention to detail. 

The successful candidate will also have:

• You will hold a tertiary qualification in engineering (civil is preferred) or equivalent;
• Strong understanding of contract administration and Civil Engineering principles;
• Broad understanding of business, QA and financial principles;
• Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience (civil construction & engineering management);
• Committed professional with strong commercial acumen;
• The ability to develop strong relationships with all stakeholders; and 
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of the Project Management Services team and with teams from our other service lines
