About the role:
The Project Estimator role is responsible for accurately assessing and estimating materials, labour, time and costs for projects to ensure successful delivery.
In the Project Estimator role, you will responsible to;
- Establish, implement, maintain and continuously improve a cost estimation methodology/framework ensuring full compliance with Queensland Rails enterprise Project Management framework.
- Build and maintain a cost estimate database that classifies and consolidates cost data by discipline or activity, type of costs and other relevant parameters for SEQ Project Delivery portfolio.
- Ensure relevant stakeholders are following the cost estimating processes and methods as per established framework.
- Support the preparation of and review externally developed comprehensive and detailed project estimates.
- Create and maintain tools and templates to support best practice cost estimation services for SEQ Project Delivery area.
- Facilitate training sessions and forums for SEQ Project Delivery teams as required.
About you:
We are looking for;
- Extensive knowledge of portfolio, program and project management frameworks and practices.
- Extensive knowledge of systems, process management and continuous improvement methodologies.
- High level of skill in project management and the ability to deliver within set time frames and budgets.
- High level of conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills across a diverse range of complex issues.
- High level of interpersonal, written and oral communication skills that build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Substantial knowledge of cost estimation methodologies and practices.
