As a Project Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding multidiscipline projects, aimed at enhancing the infrastructure of a remote mine site in the Northern Territory. Your hands-on approach and expertise will be crucial for the successful execution of these projects. This is a 12-month FIFO contract position, on a 2:1 roster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Take charge of the end-to-end leadership for structural remediation projects, ensuring effective transition between project phases, defining project scope, and maintaining compliance with business frameworks.
- Technical Guidance: Collaborate with contracting partners, providing strategic technical guidance in the field during execution activities, ensuring the successful implementation of structural remediation projects.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal (projects team, operations, maintenance, management) and external stakeholders (contractors, consultants, local community) to ensure seamless project execution.
- Budget and Schedule Oversight: Set and maintain project budgets and schedules to meet internal and external commitment.
- Safety Advocacy: Take a leadership role in championing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) culture and performance on projects, prioritising the well-being of all involved.
- Mechanical background
- Experience in leading projects within a brownfield environment, particularly in the mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Proven expertise in structural remediation projects
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Project Management qualifications highly regarded.
- Lead projects in a client-side environment within a Tier 1 Mining Company.
