AddressDavies Stewart is excited to be partnering with a reputable local council seeking a Project Leader. Managing the project team, the Project Leader is responsible for overseeing the conceptualisation and transition of projects from within the organisation through the various project stages associated project managers and/or external consultants.
This role is a 3 month temporary position, with the possibility of extension.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Client-side project management, focusing on pre-construction readiness.
- Community engagement, design development, grant and budget bids, and reporting
- Handover of projects to construction while remaining a touchpoint through to completion
- The role does not involve day-to-day site management.
- Inform the shaping and scoping of projects across the organisation as required.
- Ensure that the principles of Ecologically Sustainable Development and the Green Building Initiative are incorporated into all designated project processes and outcomes.
- Prepare reports for Council, the Directors Group and other purposes as required.
- Ensure effective working relationships are developed and maintained with internal and external stakeholders to ensure informed decisions, responsiveness and to enhance the successful delivery of designated projects.
- Review the project progress and report any issues to the Team Leader Projects, Manager Construction and Projects and relevant Project Manager, in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management (or relevant discipline)
- Familiarity with local government (highly desirable)
- Experience in utilising project management software
- Experience in developing project brief
- Strong written skills
- Familiarity with Project Management modules, specifically based on the PMBOK guide
- Intermediate will all Microsoft Office Suite
