About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Management (PM) Business Partner to join our Maritime Acquisition Line of Business (LoB) based at Osborne Naval Shipyard, SA. Utilising a collaborative partnering model, the PM Business Partner supports the business through Capability Development, Functional Compliance, Project Assurance and Project Support & Enablement. Reporting to the Head of Program Delivery – Hunter Class Frigate Program, the PM Business Partner will be responsible for supporting and enabling the delivery commitments through management of the Project Management capability (people capability, processes and tools) and providing specialist PM support across project planning, execution, performance, risk, governance, monitoring and control. The PM Business Partner role also serves as a conduit between the BAE Systems Australia PM function and the LoB, ensuring PM functional objectives are also met. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working. Key responsibilities include but not limited to: Support resourcing of all project managers into the LoB. This includes but isn't limited to facilitating internal transfers, interviewing candidates, influencing the recruitment and development of PM people, operational workforce planning and succession planning. Measuring, assessing and recommending PM capability requirements and uplift opportunities. Project Management Early careers initiatives including work experience, internships, graduates. Proactively managing the PM training plan, gathering inputs from various line leaders, training needs requirements and executing training plan to budget. Where relevant, deliver specific PM training and develop/support training package development for bespoke LoB PM training needs. Delivering knowledge transfer and sharing within the LoB and working with other Business Partners to share learning across the enterprise. This sharing will include both Project Management and cross functional acumen capability. Perform project assessments across various areas of the project lifecycle, and provide proactive support of issue resolution. Ensure compliance and governance against Functional and operational obligations including but not limited to Policy refresh & updates, consolidating monthly reporting and facilitating functional meetings.
