Form of workA government department is currently seeking a Project Manager experienced in working within a technology environment with knowledge and understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, procurement and vendor management. The person must be a strong communicator, with proven experience in stakeholder management and have demonstrated skills in project management artifacts and reporting.
You will report to the Program Manager and the role will see you engage, negotiate and coordinate outcomes with a number of internal and external business and stakeholders, vendors and account managers to support delivery of IT solutions. Seeking a Project Manager to be responsible for the day to day management of Applications and Infrastructure projects across a number of divisions. The Project Manager will ensure the operational and commercial success of projects by utilising project tools and templates to manage: budgets, timelines, dependencies, issues and risks and associated project reporting to ensure on time, on budget delivery. No security clearance is required, however applicants must be Australian citizens.
Essential skills and experience
- Significant experience and high-level expertise in complex IT application development, integration and data migration project management
- Qualifications in Project Management or a related area (Advanced Diploma equivalent or abouve, PRINCE2)
- Ability to make decisions, take direction, manage budgets and execute a plan
- Knowledge of procurement & support management
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence contributions from people from a diverse range of business areas
- Well developed written and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work within a team environment
- Expert in Agile delivery and governance
