Purpose of the Position
With a fresh focus in commercial projects, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our team based in the Richmond office.
You will be responsible for managing our D&C commercial builds from initial project handover through to completion. As a growing business we are looking for an A-player who has an interest in developing people and refining processes and further developing our contractor network that will help scale the offering in this industry.
This is a highly collaborative role working with our Sales Team, Operations Team, and directing the site managers, and all relevant third parties to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality projects. We see this role being crucial in delivering on our 3rd brand promise of Smooth Journey.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Managing our commercial projects, from award to practical completion.
- Project planning, scheduling, and careful cost control
- Liase with clients, consultants, our internal team, and sub-contractors throughout the project journey
- Provide sound advice and commercial awareness to clients.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with core team of subcontractors and suppliers
- Initial involvement in project estimating
- Developing an in-depth knowledge of the Spanlift offering and looking for opportunities in the marketplace
- Identifying and reporting risk where relevant, whilst operating in compliance with ethical and legal requirements
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- D&C project experience
- Experience in the Adelaide market would be advantageous
- Ability to read construction plans and identify scope packages
- Demonstrated cost, legal and variation management capability
- Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease
- Strong understanding of estimating
- A genuine interest in Spanlift, our team, what we do and how we do it
- A current driver license
- Demonstrated thorough and practical risk management.
