We are seeking a high-performance Project Manager to join our growing development and construction team. Reporting to the Construction Manager, your key responsibilities will be:
- Oversite of multiple new builds, managing consultants throughout project lifecycle including budget, design documentation, Development Application, approval, tender, construction and commissioning.
- Managing works in a timely manner with consultants including Town Planning, Civil and Structural Engineers, Surveyors, Architects, SDA Assessors etc.
- Working with the design consultants, our internal tenant services team, clients and their support team to design homes with features that are specific to their needs whilst ensuring development viability and innovation within the SDA space – the opportunity to set the benchmark for what great SDA should be
- Providing appropriate documentation for procurement and building works, including managing the tender process, tender evaluation, builder due diligence, and negotiation of building contracts.
- Closely manage the progress and status of projects and ensure appropriate and robust project governance to realise the development vision and project outcomes, including construction compliance with SDA design guidelines
- Managing project reporting documentation including developing scopes, product specifications, design standards, project plans and change requests.
- Maintaining and communicating a scheduling management system in Microsoft Project or other scheduling software.
- Evaluating project schedule performance and identifying developing problem areas to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
- Budget control and suggesting management of risks affecting project profit, costs, schedules and client relations.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously throughout the project lifecycle.
- Arranging, coordinating and hosting meetings, stakeholder engagement and reporting.
- Assisting in negotiations with external stakeholders to ensure the best commercial outcome is balanced with our mission, brand principles, reputation and project objectives
- Consistently communicating and liaising with our Tenant Journey Team
through delivery completion, SDA enrolment, handover, occupation and post-completion - Remain efficient and up to date on all administrative tasks including financials, project reporting and general project duties.
Prior experience with one or more of these things listed below, an advantage:
- managing projects in NSW, particularly in the pre-construction phases
- managing the construction of SDA, community, affordable or social housing; or
- managing projects using modular construction methodologies.
