We are currently seeking a Project Manger - Refratory to join our team. Roster options available for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for:
- Review contract and specification to develop methodology and staffing requirements to meet or exceed contracted requirements.
- Ensure equipment and materials are ordered and checked to ensure they are onsite at the required time to execute SOW.
- Attend regular meetings with project personnel, projects contractors and Client representatives to ensure effective project performance, communication of progress and management of positive relationships.
- Assist in developing tenders and contract bids.
- Manage Change and implementation of projects and programmes.
- Utilise clear communication channels to ensure that a full understanding of the work scope is achieved amongst project personnel.
- Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to contract specifications and the construction schedule is adhered to.
- Is responsible for overall safety performance on the works. Liaises with Senior management to obtain assistance and advice where required.
- Other duties as required and agreed between the Company and the Appointed Person.
- Ensure that client works are completed to the required quality, safety and environmental standards.
- Engineering Degree or Similar
- Project Management and / or Management Training or Qualifications
- Leadership and Personnel Management Training.
- API 936 - Refractory Professional (Desirable)
- At least 10-year(s) experience in a similar Management role on large resource industry projects.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Suite of programmes.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and effectively extract the information you require.
- Knowledge of P6 Primavera, MS Project with ability to follow a schedule.
- At least ten (10) years' technical experience in large resource industry projects.
- In Depth Knowledge of Australian Recognised Codes & Standards like NACE, ISO etc.
