The City Operations Office designs and constructs buildings, infrastructure, parks, streetscapes and public domains and with a works program up to $200m, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team.
In this exciting role you will be responsible for:
- developing and delivering a range of projects by using your knowledge of the Building and Construction Industry.
- liaising with governing authorities and/or utility providers
- coordinating design, managing contractors, providing technical direction and ensuring projects are delivered within pre-determined limits of time, cost and quality
- collaborating and managing client and project needs using effective interpersonal and communication skills.
To be successful you will have:
- tertiary professional qualifications, at degree level, in a relevant field, such as Project Management, Building, Architecture, Landscape, Civil/Structural/Services Engineering, or equivalent relevant industry experience including Contract Administration (with demonstrated Project Management capabilities).
- proven knowledge and experience in Project Management including the planning and delivery of capital works projects in the public and/or private sectors
- demonstrated ability to deliver projects to meet expected time, cost, quality, safety, environmental and sustainability targets
- strong communication and experience in achieving good relationships with clients, stakeholders, consultants and contractors
- knowledge and proven experience to manage project risks, finances, project programming and contract administration
