What are we looking for?
Following on from what has been a very successful 2022 for Fulton Hogan as a business, through natural business growth, Exciting project wins and a continued focus on creating a positive culture and environment for our team, we are starting to look ahead to 2023 and the forecast is looking busy.
With some projects already locked in, and a number of exciting opportunities arising to participate in some of Victoria's biggest infrastructure projects to date, we are looking for the support of a Project Manager who wants to be involved in the project life cycle from the start.
What do we need from you?
The successful Project Manager will be involved in some our biggest projects to date. As such, previous experience working on major infrastructure projects will be highly desirable. This will be a great opportunity to mentor young engineers, offer insight on technical problem solving through experience, and add to our culture of growth, while being offered the opportunity to progress your own career on exciting projects.
As a Project Manager, you will:
- Ensure Systems of Work are implemented which are effective in eliminating risk to health and safety for workers and public through SWMS, Special Processes and Corrective Actions
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the approved ITP and closed out to specified requirements
- Scope subcontract packages for best value and manage subcontractor performance
- Utilise programming software to analyse mid/long term programs to assess performance against the contract program and implement mitigation measures
- Review and analyse job costing, productivities and able to identify and put variations in timely manner
- Address cost concerns (labour, materials, subcontractors/suppliers, equipment)
- Show initiative to address issues as they arise, with the aptitude and flexibility for taking on new challenges Develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Capture and transfer lessons with aim to share to achieve continuous improvement
How will you connect to the role?
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineer or equivalent
- 4+ Years in a Project Manager role, preferably working on Major Infrastructure Projects
- Experience managing teams of engineers and supervisors
- Experience on Road or Rail projects is highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills including conflict resolution on-site
