The Project Manager’s role is to support the Senior Project Manager with the development of the project management function and project scheduling at Rubicon Associates and to ensure the on time, on budget and on scope delivery of all projects.

Candidates must be Australian citizens and eligible to apply for an NV1 Security Clearance due to the nature of the roles. Experience within the Defence and Commercial maritime sectors will be highly regarded. 

About the Role

Provide support to the Senior Project Manager to undertake the following:

• Oversee and project manage large Projects (>$500K) and oversee the delivery of small Projects (<$500K) in accordance with project and company utilization targets
• Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying
  schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans,
  including risk mitigation
• Oversee and manage risks and issues and take corrective measurements
• Implement project governance and reporting structures
• Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders,
  providing contact on project status and changes
• Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects
• Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources—including third-party vendors and researchers
• Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plan
• Provide guidance to Technical Professionals and the Manager, Proposals and Projects 
• Oversee Project Managers’ aligning deliverables to the project’s outcome
• Oversee Project Manager’s management of the main project documents
• Other duties as required to support RA’s design, consultancy, and marketing activities.
• Independently maintain all Project schedules in line with timelines, reporting any discrepancies and actions to the Senior Project Manager
• Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within
  scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
• Oversee utilisation and resources across projects
• Co-ordinate all Projects and their interdependencies
• Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs
• Analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements 

HSEQ Responsibilities

• Uphold Company HSEQ Standards at all times for all activities
• Ensure all HSEQ Management system documentation is implemented and complied with
• Report all hazards and incidents in a timely manner and participate in incident investigations as required
• Communicate and consult with team members on any HSEQ issues or concerns
• Participate in any relevant HSEQ Training, Drills or Exercises
• Participate in any relevant audits or inspections
• Be responsible for their own health and safety and that of their team

About You

• Tertiary qualification / certification in Engineering / Project Management or similar
• 5+ years project management experience in supporting delivery of complex projects
• Considerable experience in the management of complex systems capability and project definition, realisation
• Hands-on experience with developing and using Project software platforms for maximum usability
• Proven success working with all levels of management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong presentation skills 
• Ability to be a self-starter and work as an effective team member.
• Demonstrated ability for attention to detail.
