This role reports the Director – Government Solutions Australia.This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, hard-working, experienced Project Director who has delivered projects across a range of sectors and is seeking their next challenge to develop their career in a renowned worldwide business.The Project Director - Support, Government Solutions is responsible for the successful co-ordination, oversight and delivery of the agreed Commonwealth project deliverables associated with the support of the ADF JNT8190 Phase 1 Deploybable Bulk Fuel Distribution capability.Execution of this role requires close alignment with parallel Indo Pacific programmes ensuring alignment with the GS Strategic Vision, Mission, and Government Solutions Australia Business Strategy.Key Responsibilities
- Assist the ongoing development of a highly effective project delivery team
- Overseeing and direct the JP8190 support project to completion, identifying risks and opportunities along the way
- Manage internal and external reports pertaining to job status and financial performance against agreed budgets and forecasts
- Ensure corporate Governance requirements are met.
- In-depth review of project schedule deliverables, estimate costs and financial performance
- Meet contractual conditions of performance
- Analyse, manage and mitigate risks
- Provide leadership, direction & support across the organisation to achieve project objectives
- Develop and maximize opportunities through the effective management of key stakeholder relationships
- ≥ 10-15 years project management planning, delivery, intergration and leadership experience.
- A strong background and experience in Australian Defence Force projects to include AUS Tender and CASG exposure.
- Well-developed understanding of contemporary PM methodologies
- Outstanding leadership capabilities including the proven ability to motivate, influence, develop and mentor others.
- Exceptional Business Acumen
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects
