Are you an experienced Project Engineer / Project Manager seeking a challenging opportunity to make a significant impact in the energy sector? We're looking for a talented individual to join a leading energy company and play a key role across a broad range of projects in the power generation sector. Projects include power station maintenance and upgrades and a new grid-scale battery project. The position is based in the picturesque South Burnett region of Queensland.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Ensure that all assigned projects and activities are carried out in compliance with applicable regulations, permits and company procedures.
- Ensure that the execution phase of these projects occurs within approved cost, quality and schedule boundaries, and with positive HSEQ, Cultural Heritage and industrial outcomes.
- Prepare business cases/project proposals and scopes of work
- Ensure adequate project, risk management, and HSEQ processes and plans are in place.
- Develop project plans, monitoring and reporting
- Ensure monthly project expenditure forecasts are accurate and are adhered to.
- Compile, submit, negotiate and execute project variations.
- Be directly accountable for the project meetings, liaising with key stakeholders; managing change issues with affected groups and ensuring regular project communications.
- Facilitate and lead project meetings and tool box meetings.
- Proven experience as a project engineer or Project Manager within a major heavy industrial facility, ideally in the energy or power generation industry.
- Strong knowledge of power generation projects
- A diploma of project management.
- Hold a Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM) qualification is desirable.
- A relevant degree from a recognised tertiary institution is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
