We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join the team on a short-term contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and streamlining financial procedures and policies, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic and evolving business environment.
Description
- Develop and implement robust financial procedures and policies.
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards.
- Provide recommendations for financial improvements and deficiencies.
- Oversee the transition from QuickBooks to Xero.
- Collaborate with the off-shore team for training and induction.
- Manage day-to-day financial operations and reporting.
Profile
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role in an SME environment.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and experience transitioning to Xero.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide clear financial guidance.
Job Offer
On offer is a three - six month contract with the possibility of extension. Flexible working hours though initially you will need to work outside usual business hours. This is a fully WFH position though there is an option to work from the Brisbane office. Excellent rate on offer and opportunity to work on an exciting project.
