Family-owned company that has been successful in securing DIPL projects in Darwin is now looking for a Project Manager to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a small team (80 staff) and work alongside the management team. It's ideal for someone seeking management experience in mentoring two junior engineers and overseeing projects up to $20M. We are looking for someone who thrives in a non-corporate company culture and values a good work-life balance. The company will offer a relocation package.
About the role:
The Project Manager will oversee and manage road projects in the Northern Territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, meeting quality standards, as well as tendering for new work and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of civil construction projects, encompassing planning, scheduling, resource allocation, coordination and quality assurance;
- Prepare and oversee project budgets, ensuring efficient resource use and cost-effectiveness;
- Establish and sustain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers;
- Lead, guide and mentor project teams to ensure high performance and successful project outcomes; and
- Review project specifications, drawings and contract documents for accuracy and compliance.
About you:
- Degree in civil engineering / project management;
- Demonstrated experience working as a Project Manager for T3 contractors in the civil construction industry;
- Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices and construction methodologies;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Must have full working rights in Australia; and
- Genuinely interested in relocating to Darwin.
