About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager - Change to join our maritime sustainment program based at Osborne Naval Shipyard.

Reporting to the Head of Platform Installer, you will be responsible for developing change management strategies and plans and act as an enabler for the execution of the implementation process.

As the PM - Change, you will ensure the impact of change in the organisation, different teams and individuals is understood and that strategies are in place to reduce uncertainty and maximise the positive experience of change.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

Key responsibilities include:

• Applying a structured change management approach and methodology in order to deliver change outcomes across the business
• Working with Project Managers and teams to integrate Change Management activities into project plans
• Collaborating with our learning and development and corporate communications teams to identify and manage training and communication needs arising from the implementation of change
• Providing coaching and support to key stakeholders and people leaders to help educate and build capability in the adoption and usage of sound change management practises within projects and change initiatives
• Contributing to the development of BAE Systems Australia's Change Strategy, providing project, Function and/or Business Unit insight relevant to the projects being supported
• Developing  and  actively  managing  key  internal  and  external  relationships,  including collaborating with key stakeholders
• Providing  regular  and  meaningful  reports  to  stakeholders on  the  delivery  of  change management plans within projects and programs of work

About YOU

• Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or a relevant discipline (advantageous)
• Recognised business improvement certification or equivalent (desirable)
• Ability to motivate individuals and teams across a number of business areas, to shape and implement business requirements
• Excellent communication, consultation and engagement skills enabling you to influence and establish credibility with stakeholders at various levels
• Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges - particularly across diverse business units and locations
• Ability to identify and assess change management risks, as well as develop and implement effective solutions
• Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• NV1 defence security clearance
